Every October the country dons a layer of pink, from soup cans to the shoes worn be professional athletes, everyone wants you to be aware of the dangers of Breast Cancer. Don't get us wrong, we think that is a good thing. We just wonder how aware you are that March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Seeing blue ribbons everywhere? No? Well, you are not alone. It is probably the subject matter that makes people feel uncomfortable with discussing this common cancer in public.

The real problem is this - when found early colon cancer is 90% curable. Think about that, would you let your fears of the prep or embarrassment over the procedure stop you from taking steps that could save your life? Screening colonoscopies can take your health one step further; during the procedure doctors look for, and remove, small benign or precancerous polyps BEFORE they can become cancers. Prevention beats cure every time!

If you are at least 50 years old and have not had a screening colonoscopy please call your doctor to set up an appointment.
