SCOPE OF SERVICES

AGA has now grown to 15 board certified gastroenterologists and 5 certified physician assistants and specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions in adults.  As one of the largest specialty practices of its kind, AGA provides consultative and procedural services spanning the full spectrum of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. 

We have knowledge and expertise in the areas of inflammatory bowel disorders, celiac disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, esophageal dysmotility, gastrointestinal cancer, hepatitis C infection and chronic liver disorders.  In many instances the care rendered in our collaborative environment may involve the input of several providers assuring that an evidence-based approach to management is pursued.

We have experience and skill in endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, liver biopsy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP, and EUS.  Using such techniques management of complicated conditions are often addressed including resection of large intestinal polyps, fine needle aspiration (FNA) for diagnosis of cancer or alleviation of pain, stent placement for mechanical obstructions, and hemostasis for gastrointestinal bleeding lesions.  Moreover, we are committed to achieve and maintain the highest standards in these procedures by self-assessment of various outcomes.
