Scope of Services
We provide an advanced level of comprehensive services to meet the digestive health needs of individuals in the Western North Carolina region. Our providers work together in a collaborative approach and use state-of-the-art technology to provide you with the highest level of patient care. This includes an extensive array of endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedure-related services as well as consultative care.
Consultative Role
We have knowledge and expertise in the areas of inflammatory bowel disorders, celiac disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, esophageal dysmotility, gastrointestinal cancer, hepatitis C infection and chronic liver disorders. In many instances the care rendered in our collaborative environment may involve the input of several providers assuring that an evidence-based approach to management is pursued.
Procedural Role
We have experience and skill in endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, liver biopsy, capsule endoscopy, ERCP, and EUS. Using such techniques management of complicated conditions are often addressed including resection of large intestinal polyps, fine needle aspiration (FNA) for diagnosis of cancer or alleviation of pain, stent placement for mechanical obstructions, and hemostasis for gastrointestinal bleeding lesions. Moreover, we are committed to achieve and maintain the highest standards in these procedures by self-assessment of important outcome measures.
